LIVE THE DREAM
Bungan Beach Boaties

Dear Members.

The 2010/2011 season is shaping up to be one of the best the club has seen in years in Surfboat Competition.

There is a totally new look Open Men's Crew this season with some very talented and well credentialed still

water Rowers who are making the move over to the surf with my newly formed Crew. Coupled with the return

of our experienced & well credentialed rower Arron Reilly (who sat last season out due to injury) to the Stroke seat,

and with the crew being the encumbered Open Men’s Branch Champions, higher honors will be expected this year.

I predict that by mid season this Crew will be turning heads, because with this quantity of fresh talent we can't help, but do well.

You can't coach talent, but we can coach talented rowers to handle the surf.

Our previous Junior Crew who are now having there seasonal year in the highly competitive category of Colts racing and with

more commitment to training will be a force to reckon with.

Some other very exciting news for the club is that our younger Barker College student Members of Bungan Beach SLSC

have taken an interest in learning to row Surfboats and have been doing some training in the winter months.

There are also hopes that some of our very talented Rowers from recent years Open Men Crews may make up a

Reserve Grade Crew for a late run at the 2011 Australian Championships in the New Year.

So, with 4 definite Crews and possibly more under myself & Tim, the future is looking good for Bungan Beach Boaties in 2011 !!

Cheers.
